Our Song by Samantha14
Link
Plot It's Lorelai and Luke's one-year anniversary. Lorelai enlists friends' help to figure out her part of it, which centers around their song: Sam Phillips' Reflecting Light (it played during their first dance at Liz's wedding). Luke also has plans, so it's a whole day of fun anniversary-ness. This one-parter takes us through three weeks prior, when Lorelai realizes the big day's coming up; to the day of, when something really really big happens.
Characterization Very good characterization. Everyone seemed like themselves. Lorelai was, perhaps, a bit too...young-seeming. It's not anything I can directly describe, just a sense throughout the story. But then again, it's a big thing, the anniversary, so it's understandable that she's excited and acting that way.
Style/Flow It flowed nicely (dirty!). I knew when things were happening, and where, who was speaking, etc.
Structure/Grammar/Spelling Great on all three.
Things To Work On Nothing at all. I don't think there was anything missing from this story, or anything that could be improved upon.
Parts That Rocked Our Socks “He told me we’re having lunch, and then we’re doing something secret, and then dinner, and then it’s my territory. He promised me lots of food would be involved.”
“Hey, Nurse, come help Juliet get dressed.”
And I loved when they went to Luke's old house and sat in the garden. That was a sweet moment and there was a lot of great description in there.
Oh, and I also love the fact that this story, written by Samantha, features a song of Sam Phillips', and is being reviewed by Samantha. It's nothing but awesomeness. We have such a cool name.
Grade A! You did wonderfully.
