The Faithless by Angeleyez

Link to Story

Plot
The plot here is Jess, who has obviously been living in New York, has been injured and is found by a girl who just happens to be walking by on the street.
It draws in the reader immediately. The details at the beginning of the story are purposely vague and leaves the reader wanting to know more, hence they read on.

Characterization
An interesting way to set up both of these characters. We see flashes of Rory in the young woman but it's not confirmed until later on in the story. A bit melodramatic, but I suppose most fics centered around Jess portray him as being this tortured. In general, great job, the descriptions of both of them were excellent.

Style/Flow
The way the situation draws the audience into the story is very important here. Also, you can easily visualize it in your mind, the white sweater, her bending over him, her hair in her face, the dark alley and then the starkness and contrast of the hospital. Wonderful images.

Grammar/Sentence Structure
I didn't see any problems.

Things to work on
Again, not much here.

Parts that rocked our socks
All the literary references and quotes were perfect. And the overall theme of redemption and them both being faithless, but yet this experience in the alley is like his last confession was very touching and all well connected at the end. This is the kind of a short piece I would expect to read in a magazine maybe. It's all very literary and very well-written, very professional (writing wise.) Wonderful job.
